After winning the BYU Invitational Tournament, both singles and doubles, the BYU Woman’s tennis team is ready for another tournament. They are going to California to play against some of the top teams in the country. According to coach Lauren Jones, they are practicing hard for their next challenge.
“The biggest thing we are gonna focus on this week is consistency, being in the first matches of the year the girls need to work on getting more balls in play and having this game plan so revert back to in case they are in trouble”
Megan Price, the team’s only senior, is excited to lead the team .
“I like to step up and I know that a lot of girls kind of like to watch me playing, watch me in practice. There is that expectation as well but hopefully I can just be a good role model and help them improve and hopefully in turn help out myself improve”
The cougars leave to play in Berkeley, California, a week from today.
