Lesson with the Pros
Golf’s greatest came to Provo, find out why! Continue reading
Riverside Country Club took extra care to make sure their fare ways were up to par for some of golfing’s greatest and legendary Cougars.
Golfers from all walks of life came to Cougar Day to get tips from the pros, and all for a good cause. The golf team doesn’t sell tickets to their tournaments, so it’s fundraisers like Cougar Day that keep them on the greens.
Legendary PGA pro Johnny Miller was also there, “It’s a great day for BYU golf, great day to have all these past players here and current players and a lot of the other athletes like Chad Lewis and Lavell Edwards and just everybody in the community backing the golf team, golf’s a great game and everybody loves it.”
But someone was still missing from the links. Cougar Day founder and former coach Carl Tucker passed away last year. Outside donors and former players pooled together to create a BYU Men’s Golf scholarship in memory of Coach Tucker.
