DRAPER- The Rock Church teamed up with the Pregnancy Resource Center in their annual Baby Bottle Campaign, collecting loose change in baby bottles and donating all funds to give hope and free resources to expecting mothers.
The center is an evangelical ministry that provides ultra-sounds, counseling sessions and clothing for free to clients and their children. The baby bottle fundraiser is one of the main ways the center funds its services. Executive Director Jim Kerr said the services create a great experience for mothers and helps them evaluate their options.
“We want to help our clients with where they are at in their decision about what to do with their pregnancy, but we also want to, if they’re willing, talk about their spiritual needs,” Kerr said. He also said The Rock Church is just one of many churches he contacts to participate in the fundraiser each year. “It’s been very enjoyable,” he said, “and just sitting down and learning about the churches and the pastors and their ministries, that’s cool too.”
Member of the Rock Church also enjoy the service. 8-year-member Bob Davis said he can’t remember a time that The Rock Church hasn’t participated in the fundraiser. “It’s been a real blessing because of our mutual vision and vision for reaching… the lost for the sake of Christ…” he said.
Kerr invites anyone interested to come for a tour, and anyone can contribute to the Pregnancy Resource Center online at www.pregnancyresource.net.
