Voting day brings people to the polls

PROVO – Voting for the election began a few weeks ago, but today the nation finds out who will be its 45th president.

Lines were out the door at 8:30 a.m. at Provo Peaks Elementary. An hour later, they were about half as long, and people said it took 20 or 30 minutes to cast their vote. A poll worker said they expected more people for the morning rush, but they’ll begin to see crowds coming in for lunch and after work.

Voters said they did expect the long lines and planned a couple of hours out of their day to vote.
