PROVO, Utah – Despite coming off a tough, two-point loss against the Glendale Raptors, the Brigham Young University men’s rugby team came out with a dominating 55-12 win on March 31 against Central Washington.
Head Coach David Smyth made sure they went into the game with the right mindset.
“Remember, it’s not just about participating, it’s about dominating. Dominate it fellas,” Symth said.
He also said his players worked hard against the opposing team.
“That was a big, physical side we were playing against, and they went very hard. So the boys, I thought, matched their physicality,” Symth said.
Their next game will be against Colorado State on April 8, and from there, they’re looking ahead to the playoffs.
“Once we get to the playoffs, it’s the same goal every year,” Symth said. “We want to win it.”
