OREM, Utah – The city of Orem is holding its second annual spring cleaning in parks all over the city.
For the rest of this week and the following six, citizens can bring nearly anything for disposal, free of charge, to any of the locations. However, some of the items that cannot be dumped are tires, paint, used oil and concrete.
Assistant City Manager Brenn Bybee said dealing with hazardous items isn’t even the biggest challenge.
“We have had some individuals try to steal or take some of the junk that others have thrown away, and so then we’ve had to maybe patrol around the dumpsters a little more overnight,” Bybee said.
You can go to Orem.org/cleanup for the locations and dates of the dumpsters.
